Here is a basic step-by-step guide to removing a virus from a computer:

1. Disconnect the computer from the internet to prevent more data from being sent to a malware server or the malware from spreading further.
2. Reboot the computer into safe mode to prevent malware from loading automatically.
3. Look through downloads and temporary files.
4. Delete temporary files.
5. Download a virus/malware scanner.
6. Run a virus/malware scan.
7. Reinstall the software or damaged files.
